...The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Flood
Advisory for the Fox River...

  Fox River at Montgomery affecting Kane and Kendall Counties

.Torrential rainfall of 2 to 3 inches has fallen over portions of the
Fox River basin during the afternoon hours. This has caused rapid rises
on the river. Stay tuned for further river forecast updates this
evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

* until Saturday evening.
* At  515 PM Friday the stage was 12.5 feet.
* Action stage is 12.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to near 12.7 feet by early Saturday.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet...Minor lowland flooding begins near river.
