...The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Flood
Advisory for the Du Page River...

  Du Page River near Plainfield affecting Will County


.Synopsis...Heavy rainfall of 1.5 to 3 inches is likely through Tuesday night with
locally heavier amounts in excess of 3 inches possible. The combination
of this heavy rainfall, frozen ground, and some snow melt will likely
result in flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

  The Du Page River near Plainfield.
* until Wednesday morning.
* At 1045 PM Monday the stage was 8.5 feet.
* Action stage is 10.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to near 11.9 feet by Wednesday
  morning, and possibly rise above flood stage.
