The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Stephenson County in northwestern Illinois...

* Until 1100 AM CST Friday

* At 1055 AM CST, emergency management reported flooding along
  Yellow Creek in Stephenson County.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Freeport, Pearl City, Bolton and Stephenson County Fairgrounds.

Flooding of the Pecatonica River is leading to flooding along Yellow
Creek.  The Pecatonica River is forecast to continue rising through
the weekend. This will lead to Yellow Creek remaining at the same
current level or possibly rising through at least the weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads.
Find an alternate route.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
