FLOOD WARNING
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON, TX
210 PM CST MON FEB 20 2017

...The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a flood warning
for the following rivers...

  Lavaca River Near Edna affecting the following counties in Texas...Jackson


For Lavaca River at Edna, Minor flooding is forecasted.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons with interests along these streams should keep alert to rising water and
take all precautions to protect their property. Do not drive or walk into
flooded areas the depth and water velocity could be too great for you to cross
safely. Motorists should avoid any water covered roads and find an alternate
route. Livestock and equipment should be removed from the flood plain
immediately.

The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Lavaca River Near Edna.
* from Tuesday morning to Wednesday afternoon...or until the warning is
  canceled.
* At 0150 PM Monday the stage was 12.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow late morning and continue to
  rise to near 22.1 feet by tomorrow evening, the river will fall below flood
  stage by Wednesday morning.
* At 22.0 feet...Flooding along the Lavaca River reaches well into the lower
  flood plain backing up sloughs and low areas.
