FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHEAST AND NORTH CENTRAL
COLORADO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DENVER/BOULDER CO
325 PM MDT WED MAR 22 2017

.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Thursday...A strong storm will move from
the Four Corners area Thursday morning into southeastern Colorado by
Friday morning. A dry line will likely set up with critical fire
weather conditions over portion of the plains and into the southern
foothills Thursday afternoon. As a result, a Red Flag Warning has
been issued Thursday afternoon for Fire Weather Zones
216...238...240...241 and 244 through 247 due to gusty winds to 35
mph and very low relative humidities.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday night through Monday...A strong
storm and cold front will spread across the area Thursday night and
Friday. Conditions should improve significantly as this storm system
brings cooler temperatures along with snow in the mountains and
foothills, along with rain or a mix or rain and snow across the
northeast plains Thursday night and Friday. Precipitation will
diminish Friday night with warmer weather on Saturday. Another
weaker system is expected to bring another chance of precipitation
to the region on Sunday.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                     shown in those groups...
