FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL/NORTHERN VERMONT AND
NORTHERN NEW YORK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BURLINGTON VT
348 AM EDT FRI APR 29 2016

...DRY CONDITIONS TODAY THROUGH SATURDAY WITH RAIN ON SUNDAY...

.DISCUSSION...
TODAY WILL BE THE DRIEST DAY OF THE NEXT SEVERAL WITH AFTERNOON
RELATIVELY HUMIDITIES DOWN AROUND 20 PERCENT OVER NORTHEAST VERMONT
AND IN THE 25 TO 35 PERCENT RANGE OVER THE REMAINDER OF VERMONT
AND NORTHERN NEW YORK. WIND SPEEDS HOWEVER WILL BE UNDER 10 MILES
AN HOUR. THE FLOW ALOFT TURNS TO THE WEST ON SATURDAY AND
EVENTUALLY THE SOUTHWEST FOR SUNDAY AND MONDAY. THIS WILL ALLOW
FOR ANOTHER DRY DAY ON SATURDAY...BUT MOISTURE INCREASES SATURDAY
NIGHT AND ESPECIALLY ON SUNDAY FOR INCREASING HUMIDITIES AND
INCREASING CHANCES FOR RAIN...ESPECIALLY ON SUNDAY. THERE WILL BE
A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE TO OUR WEST ON SUNDAY HELPING TO INCREASE
THOSE CHANCE OF RAIN ON SUNDAY AND THIS FEATURE DOES NOT MOVE EAST
OF THE REGION UNTIL MONDAY NIGHT. THUS RAIN WILL BE LIKELY SUNDAY
NIGHT AND MONDAY BEFORE TAPERING OFF MONDAY NIGHT. LACK OF WIND
AND INCREASING HUMIDITIES IN COMBINATION WITH THE EXPECTED RAINS
SHOULD LIMIT ANY FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS DURING THE BACK HALF OF THE
WEEKEND AND EARLY NEXT WEEK.
