FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
312 PM EDT WED MAY 4 2016

.DISCUSSION...COOLER AND DRIER AIR WILL MOVE OVER THE FORECAST
AREA DURING THE PERIOD. AN UPPER LEVEL LOW WILL DIG INTO THE
REGION BRINGING COOLER TEMPS ALOFT. THIS WILL ALLOW FOR DEEP
MIXING AND BREEZY CONDITIONS ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY AFTERNOON WITH
GUSTS FROM 15 TO 20 MPH. SURFACE AND TRANSPORT WINDS WILL BE NW
DURING THE PERIOD. DESPITE DIRER AIR...RH VALUES WILL REMAIN ABOVE
CRITICAL AND SHOULD NOT FALL BELOW 30 PERCENT.

THERE IS A CHANCE FOR ISOLATED SHOWERS AND POSSIBLY THUNDERSTORMS
TOMORROW AFTERNOON AS THE UPPER LOW MOVES ACROSS THE FORECAST
AREA. HOWEVER CONFIDENCE IS LOW DUE TO THE DRY ATMOSPHERIC
CONDITIONS. FOG IS NOT EXPECTED THURSDAY MORNING WITH DRY AIR IN
PLACE.
