FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
234 PM CST MON JAN 23 2017

.DISCUSSION...
AFTER A RATHER WET WEEKEND, DRY CONDITIONS SHOULD PREVAIL TONIGHT
INTO TUESDAY. PATCHY FOG MAY OCCUR IN ISOLATED LOCATIONS MAINLY
IN NORTHWEST ALABAMA WHERE CLOUD COVER THAT IS EXPECTED LATE
TONIGHT MAY NOT QUITE REACH THOSE AREAS.

THOUGH TUESDAY MORNING SHOULD BE COOLER WITH LOWS IN THE MID TO
UPPER 30S, TEMPERATURES SHOULD RISE CLOSE TO 60 DEGREES BY TUESDAY
AFTERNOON. IN ADDITION, MIXING HEIGHTS SHOULD BE RATHER LOW NEAR
2000 FEET WHICH SHOULD KEEP DISPERSION IN THE POOR TO GENERALLY
POOR RANGE. THEN, WARMER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY
AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS THE REGION LATE
WEDNESDAY MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON. LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS ARE
POSSIBLE WITH RAINFALL AMOUNTS GENERALLY BELOW 0.10 INCH. BEFORE
THE RAIN ARRIVES, WINDS SHOULD INCREASE TO AROUND 10 MPH FROM THE
SOUTHWEST AND DISPERSION SHOULD BE GENERALLY GOOD.

DRY AND COOLER WEATHER SHOULD PREVAIL FROM WEDNESDAY NIGHT
THROUGH SUNDAY WITH DAYTIME HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE 40S AND
OVERNIGHT LOWS DROPPING BELOW FREEZING ESPECIALLY ON SATURDAY
NIGHT.
