Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
255 PM CST Thu Dec 14 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions will persist through Saturday across the TN Valley
as high pressure dominates the weather pattern. Despite the dry
air across the region, minimum RH values will remain above
critical thresholds. Mixing heights will rise above 3000 feet on
Friday and Saturday and combine with transport winds around 10
mph to produce fair to generally good dispersion conditions. Winds
from the northwest on Friday will shift to the southwest by
Saturday. Moisture will begin to filter northward through the
overnight hours. Meanwhile a stronger cold front will move
through the region on Sunday. Numerous to widespread showers will
be possible again of the front, with rainfall totals generally
less than one inch.

Fog potential over the next few days: None at this time.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
