...GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS INTERIOR SECTIONS TODAY...

.DISCUSSION...
A deep marine layer of around 5000 feet with a weak upper level low
supported drizzle and a few light showers overnight mainly across the
valleys into the coastal slopes. Any patchy drizzle mainly across
the coastal slopes should come to an end this morning. The marine
layer is expected to shrink rapidly to around 1500 feet or lower by
Saturday evening and 1000 feet or less Sunday. This combined with
weakening onshore flow and weak high pressure building in aloft will
support warming and drying trends, most significant across interior
areas, through Monday or Tuesday. By Sunday or Monday interior areas
will likely see minimum humidities into the lower teens and possibly
single digits with high temperatures into the upper 80s to 90s.
However, winds are expected to be generally light during this period.

Weak low pressure may build back in by the middle of next week,
supporting some increases in onshore to northwest winds with cooling
and moistening trends.
