Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Washington and North Idaho
National Weather Service Spokane WA
555 AM PDT Fri Jun 23 2017

.DISCUSSION...

The region will undergo a dry warming trend courtesy of
strengthening high pressure. Widespread 90s are likely Sunday and
Monday. Sunday and Monday will also be quite unstable promoting
haines indices near 5. More importantly, gap winds will be on the
increase for Monday afternoon and spread across the Basin Monday
evening and Tuesday. The winds coupled with low humidity will
bring the potential for rapid fire spread with any new starts.
Cooler and breezier weather returns Tuesday into Wednesday with a
chance for showers in the Idaho Panhandle late in the week.
