245 PM PDT Wed Aug 23 2017

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM TO 8 PM PDT THURSDAY FOR
BREEZY WINDS AND LOW RH FOR FIRE ZONE 677...

.DISCUSSION...

...breezy and dry conditions all districts on Thursday...

A cold front will transit the region tonight. Ahead of this front
over the eastern districts scattered showers will develop with
isolated wet thunderstorms possible overnight tonight. On Thursday
the Columbia Basin districts will experience post frontal breezy
conditions...with all districts subject to wind gusts from
stronger winds aloft occasionally surfacing during the afternoon
hours. The air mass will remain very dry with low minimum RH
continuing despite significantly cooler temperatures on Thursday.
Friday will be a benign but continued dry day with light terrain
driven winds. A strong warming trend is likely Saturday and
lasting into at least early next week with low relative humidity
each day with poor humidity recoveries each night mid slopes and
ridge tops.
