Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NW Oregon and SW Washington
National Weather Service Portland OR
852 AM PDT Sun Sep 24 2017

.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...High pressure over the region brings a
seasonably cool and dry day today. A weak warm front brushes the
north zones Monday bringing a chance for some light rain. A ridge
of high pressure aloft strengthens Tuesday for the start of a much
warmer and drier pattern lasting through most of the rest of the
week. Offshore flow Wed into early Thu will bring breezy
conditions, especially through the Gorge and Coast Range.

.DISCUSSION...High pressure over the region brings a seasonably
cool and dry day today. A weak warm front brushes the north zones
Monday bringing a chance for some light rain across the north. A
ridge of high pressure aloft strengthens Tuesday for the start of
a much warmer and drier pattern lasting through most of the rest
of the week. Surface offshore flow strengthens Wed and continues
through Wed night and early Thu for breezy conditions, especially
through the Gorge and Coast Range. A weak system moves across the
region Friday, likely with no rain but with a little cooler
temperatures and onshore flow.
