Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
826 PM MDT Fri May 26 2017

.Discussion...

An active period for thunderstorms will continue across the
district with thunderstorms expected to be most widespread
on Saturday as a system moves across the area. This will bring
a good chance for wetting rains Saturday afternoon and night...
particularly for the central and southeast mountains and plains.
Heavy rainfall on burn scars will be a concern on Saturday...
particularly for the Junkins and Hayden Pass.

Thunderstorms will be tied to the mountain areas for
Sunday through early next week. Locally heavy rainfall will be
possible with the stronger storms. Unsettled conditions will
increase again towards late week as another storm approaches the
region.

Afternoon dispersions will rise into the very good to excellent
category for the mountains...with generally fair to good for the
plains on Saturday. Lighter winds on Sunday will mean lower
dispersions for the mountains...though the plains should rebound
into the fair to very good range.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
