Fire Weather Planning Forecast
National Weather Service Tulsa OK
330 AM CST Tue Feb 28 2017

RED FLAG...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM NOON CST TODAY THROUGH THIS
EVENING FOR OSAGE...PAWNEE...AND WASHINGTON COUNTIES IN OKLAHOMA.

.DISCUSSION...
Near Red Flag conditions are expected this afternoon across parts
of northeast Oklahoma to the northwest of a Pawnee to Bartlesville
line, where strong daytime mixing will lead to lower dew points in
conjunction with temperatures near 80 and strong south-
southwesterly winds. Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms
will be possible this afternoon and into tonight across parts of
eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. Much drier and cooler
conditions will arrive tomorrow behind a cold front that will pass
through the area tonight. Increased fire spread concerns will
exist across most of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas
tomorrow behind the front.
