DISCUSSION FOR FORTUNA DISPATCH
332 AM PDT MON MAY 22 2017

DRY AND HOT WEATHER WILL CONTINUE EARLY THIS WEEK
WITH INLAND TEMPERATURES REACHING WELL ABOVE NORMAL VALUES. THERE
WILL BE A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR SOME AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE
MOUNTAINOUS INTERIOR STARTING TUESDAY AND LASTING INTO THE
WEEKEND. BY MID WEEK THE STRONG RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BEGIN
TO BREAK DOWN WHICH WILL ALLOW TEMPERATURES TO FALL BACK TO MORE
SEASONAL VALUES FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE WEEK.
