...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

THE PROLONGED HEAT WAVE OVER THE REGION WILL FINALLY BREAK EARLY
THIS COMING WEEK AS A WEAK WEATHER SYSTEM MOVES ACROSS THE WESTERN
STATES. THIS SYSTEM WILL RESULT IN ENHANCED WINDS EARLY THIS WEEK
WHICH, WHEN COMBINED WITH DRY AND WARM CONDITIONS, WILL INCREASE
THE THREAT OF CRITICAL FIRE CONDITIONS. WINDS LOOK TO PEAK IN MOST
AREAS ON MONDAY, WITH FAIRLY WIDESPREAD GUSTS OF 20-30 MPH, AND
ISOLATED GUSTS AROUND 35 MPH. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN
POSSIBLE OVER THE SIERRA THROUGH SUNDAY.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL CONTINUE THE HOT WEATHER FAR INLAND THIS
WEEKEND, WHILE A MARINE LAYER AND ONSHORE FLOW KEEP COASTAL AND
WESTERN VALLEY AREAS MILD AND MORE HUMID WITH PERIODS OF NOCTURNAL
LOW CLOUDS AND FOG. THERE IS A SMALL CHANCE FOR AN ISOLATED DRY
LIGHTNING STRIKE OR TWO IN THE SAN BERNARDINO MTS INTO EARLY
EVENING, BEFORE DRIER AIR ARRIVES ON SUNDAY. HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT
WILL WEAKEN AND MOVE TO THE SOUTH NEXT WEEK, ALLOWING THE MARINE
LAYER TO DEEPEN WITH BETTER ONSHORE FLOW. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE
AVERAGE OR BELOW BY MIDWEEK ALONG WITH HIGHER HUMIDITY EXTENDING
WELL INTO THE VALLEYS.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

VERY HOT CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THIS WEEKEND WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE
OF ISOLATED AFTERNOON T-STORMS OVER S. GILA CTY--MOSTLY ON SUN.
EXPECT MIN RH VALUES OF 7-12 PERCENT FOR THE LOWER DESERTS WITH
POOR-FAIR OVERNIGHT RECOVERIES ON SAT IMPROVING TO FAIR ON SUN. THE
HIGHER TERRAIN CAN EXPECT SLIGHTLY BETTER MIN RH VALUES IN THE
15-25 PERCENT RANGE. SLIGHTLY BREEZY W-SW WINDS WITH GUSTS OF
14-20MPH ARE EXPECTED DURING THE LATE AFTERNOONS AND EARLY
EVENINGS.
