Forecast is based on incident time of 0700 EDT on May 23.

Service.

.DISCUSSION...South to southwest winds will increase today with
gusts to around 20 mph in the afternoon. Southwest winds should
more frequently gust to around 20 mph on Wednesday. The chance for
afternoon thunderstorms will be around 40 percent from this
afternoon into early evening. Storms moving inland from the
northeast Gulf of Mexico tonight may hold together as they cross
the peninsula and approach the site after midnight. Occasional
showers and storms are forecast Wednesday. The storms on Wednesday
will be fast moving, so the chance for strong wind gusts to
around 40 mph will increase.

Extended (Thursday through Monday)...Some showers may linger early
Thursday morning then a front will move through and bring drying.
West winds look to be 15 to 20 mph so conditions will be choppy
through Thursday. There is good news and bad news for the rest of
the forecast. The good news is that winds will be light for the
most part starting Friday, while the chance for afternoon
lightning storms will be low. The bad news is that if you take
advantage of these good conditions, you will be doing so on a
Holiday weekend!
