.DISCUSSION...
Strong south winds will affect the area through this evening with wind gusts
over 40 mph and possibly as high as 50 mph this afternoon. Minimum relative
humidity is expected to drop to the 27-33 percent range. Near-critical wildfire
conditions are expected this afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will be
possible later this evening and overnight. Some of these storms may be severe
with hail and strong variable wind gusts.

During the day Friday, winds could be strong and gusty again but gradually shift
from the south towards the west by early afternoon and the northwest by late
