.DISCUSSION...

20-foot wind speeds of 2 kts or less are expected today, with a
variable wind direction. Daytime temperatures will struggle to
reach the freezing mark let alone warm above freezing despite
clear sky conditions. The cold frontal passage that moved across
southeastern Oklahoma yesterday has ushered in a dry airmass,
with relative humidity values dropping to around the 30-40 percent
range during peak heating this afternoon, but will recover into
the 60-80 percent range overnight /for formation is not
anticipated tonight/.

Looking ahead, a gradual warm up is expected after today with
lower 40s for daytime high temperatures are expected tomorrow,
followed by highs in the 50s by the end of the week. Chances for
precipitation will make a return this weekend, with scattered to
widespread showers and thunderstorms are anticipated to occur
courtesy of an approaching upper level disturbance. At this time,
this disturbance looks to provide adequate upper level forcing,
which translates to the potential for strong to possibly severe
storms particularly on Sunday.
