...FLOOD POTENTIAL...

ADDITIONAL RAIN ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY... WILL RESULT IN CONTINUED
HIGH WATER ON AFFECTED NORTHWESTERN BROOKS RANGE AND SEWARD
PENINSULA STREAMS.

THE FLOOD POTENTIAL IS CURRENTLY LOW FOR THE REST OF ALASKA.

...HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL DISCUSSION....

AN UPPER LEVEL LOW HAS MOVED INTO THE WESTERN GULF FROM THE BERING
SEA. THIS LOW IS EXPECTED TO MOVE THROUGH THE CENTRAL GULF AND
APPROACH THE PANHANDLE BY SATURDAY... AND MOVE INLAND SUNDAY.
ANOTHER UPPER LOW WILL MOVE QUICKLY ACROSS THE ARCTIC OCEAN AND
BRUSH THE NORTH SLOPE FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY.

FOR THURSDAY... RAIN EXPECTED OVER MUCH OF SOUTHEAST ALASKA... WITH
ANOTHER AREA OF RAIN APPROACHING THE WEST COAST. RAIN AMOUNTS LESS
THAN AN INCH. FOR FRIDAY... AREAS OF RAIN FOR ALMOST THE ENTIRE
STATE. THE EXCEPTION WILL BE THE NORTH SLOPE AND EASTERN INTERIOR.
THE REST OF THE STATE CAN EXPECT UP TO AN INCH OF RAINFALL. HEAVIEST
RAIN FOR SATURDAY WILL OVER THE PANHANDLE WITH UP TO 2 INCHES
POSSIBLE. JUST ISOLATED AREAS OF RAIN FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE
STATE.

THE 6 TO 10 DAY PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK HAS INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF
ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE GULF COAST... NORTH SLOPE...
CANADIAN BORDER AND THE PANHANDLE.
