This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Patchy dense fog is possible early this morning mainly near
the Highway 20 corridor. Any dense fog that develops could
deposit a thin layer of ice on roadways. Motorists in northeast
Iowa and far northern Illinois should remain alert for reduced
visibility and slick roads.

Areas of dense fog may occur across portions of the Outlook area
tonight into early Monday morning. Also, some patchy freezing
drizzle may form in areas where the surface temperature drops
below freezing later tonight into early Monday morning. The
latest indications suggest that areas generally along and
30 miles north of the Interstate 80 corridor may be more favored
for this activity. If the freezing drizzle does manage to form
late tonight, there may be some risk of it lingering into the
Monday morning commute.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

Accumulating snow is possible over parts of the region late
Thursday night into Friday morning, mainly north of highway 30.
However, it is too early to forecast the exact track of the low
and potential snow amounts. Those with travel plans late in the
week should keep up with the latest forecast.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Reports of any dense fog and slick road conditions early this
morning and Sunday night would be appreciated.
