THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEDFORD HAS ISSUED A HAZARDOUS
SEAS WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH
LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT.


* WINDS...NORTH 15 TO 25 KT WITH OCCASIONAL GUSTS TO 30 KT THIS
  AFTERNOON AND EVENING...AND CONTINUING THROUGH WEDNESDAY
  MORNING. WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 20 TO 30 KT WITH OCCASIONAL
  GUSTS TO 35 KT WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

* SEAS...STEEP 10 TO 13 FOOT THROUGH TONIGHT DUE TO COMBINED WEST
  SWELL AND STEEP CHOPPY WINDS SEAS. STEEP SEAS AROUND 10 FEET
  WILL CONTINUE TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY. SEAS WILL BECOME DOMINATED
  BY SHORT PERIOD WINDS SEAS ON WEDNESDAY AND A MIX OF STEEP TO
  VERY STEEP 8 TO 11 FT SEAS IS POSSIBLE WEDENSDAY AFTERNOON INTO
  WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

* AREAS AFFECTED...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY WINDS AND SEAS WILL AFFECT
  ALL THE WATERS THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. THEN
  VERY STEEP HAZARDOUS WARNING LEVEL SEAS ARE POSSIBLE FROM CAPE
  SEBASTIAN SOUTH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING WITH SMALL
  CRAFT ADVISORY LEVEL CONDITIONS NORTH OF CAPE SEBASTIAN.

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS AND SEAS WILL CREATE A
POTENTIAL HAZARD TO SMALLER VESSELS AND INEXPERIENCED MARINERS.

A HAZARDOUS SEAS WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN THE RISK OF VERY STEEP AND
HAZARDOUS SEAS HAS SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED, BUT THE SPECIFIC
TIMING AND/OR LOCATION IS STILL UNCERTAIN.  IT IS INTENDED TO
PROVIDE ADDITIONAL LEAD TIME FOR MARINERS WHO MAY WISH TO
CONSIDER ALTERING THEIR PLANS.

  WEDNESDAY MORNING, SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY LEVEL WINDS AND SEAS
  WILL AFFECT THE WATERS BEYOND 3 NM FROM SHORE. SMALL CRAFT
  ADVISORY LEVEL WINDS AND SEAS WILL AFFECT ALL THE AREA WEDNESDAY
  AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING.

  MORNING, WITH STRONGEST WINDS BEYOND 10 NM FROM SHORE AND NEAR
  CAPE BLANCO. GUSTY NORTH WINDS WILL CONTINUE ON WEDNESDAY AND
  INCREASE LATE WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY.

* SEAS...STEEP SEAS OF 10 TO 12 FEET WILL PERSIST THROUGH TONIGHT.
  THEN EXPECT AREAS OF STEEP SEAS 8 TO 9 FT SEAS OVER THE WATERS
  TUESDAY THROUGH AT LEAST WEDNESDAY MORNING DUE TO A MIX OF WEST
  SWELL AND CHOPPY WIND SEAS. STEEP SEAS WILL CONTINUE LATE
  WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY AND WILL BE DOMINATED BY SHORT PERIOD
  WIND SEAS.

* AREAS AFFECTED...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR HAZARDOUS SEAS WILL
  AFFECT ALL AREAS THROUGH TONIGHT. SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY LEVEL
  SEAS AND WINDS WILL AFFECT AREAS BEYOND 10 NM FROM SHORE SOUTH
  OF COOS BAY AND NEAR CAPE BLANCO TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH AT
  LEAST WEDNESDAY MORNING. THEN THE SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY LEVEL
  CONDITIONS WILL EXPAND WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT TO AREAS
  SOUTH OF REEDSPORT BEYOND 10 NM FROM SHORE AND FOR AREAS FROM
  BANDON SOUTH OUT TO 10 NM FROM SHORE.
