...GUSTY WINDS TODAY OVER PORTIONS NORTH-CENTRAL WASHINGTON...

.Winds are expected to increase through the morning and peak in
the afternoon behind a cold front passage. Breaking mountain
waves in the lee of the Cascade Mountains will also be possible,
which will be capable of mixing down stronger wind gusts into the
Wenatchee Area and on the Waterville Plateau. The Moses Lake Area
is expected to see gusty winds that funnel out of the Kittitas
Valley.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM PDT THIS EVENING...

* Winds...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* Timing...Increasing through the morning and peaking in the
  afternoon.

* Impacts...Strong cross winds will make travel difficult for
  high profile vehicles along Interstate 90 between George and
  Vantage. Small tree branches may break and light weight
  objects may become airborne.

* Locations...George, Royal City, Quincy, Wenatchee, Chelan,
  Entiat, Cashmere, Waterville, and Mansfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult...especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
