THIS EVENING...

* A COLD FRONT CONTINUES TO MOVE THROUGH THE AREA THIS EVENING.
  WITH THE DRIER AIR MOVING ACROSS THE QUAD STATE REGION...HEAT
  INDEX VALUES WILL CONTINUE TO FALL FROM NEAR 100 DOWN INTO THE
  UPPER 80S EARLY THIS EVENING.

* DRIER AND SLIGHTLY COOLER AIR MOVING INTO THE REGION WILL PUSH
  OUT THE HEAT AND AND HUMIDITY THAT HAS PLAGUED THE AREA SINCE
  LATE LAST WEEK. TEMPERATURES FOR THE REST OF THE WORK WEEK WILL
  REMAIN IN THE UPPER 80S TO AROUND 90...WITH RELATIVE HUMIDITY
  VALUES REMAINING AT OR BELOW 50 PERCENT DURING THE WARMEST PART
  OF THE DAY. THESE CONDITIONS SHOULD HELP REDUCE STRESS ON
  INDIVIDUALS SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE HEAT...AS WELL AS THOSE WHO MUST
  WORK OUTDOORS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING MEANS THAT A PROLONGED PERIOD OF
DANGEROUSLY HOT TEMPERATURES WILL OCCUR. THE COMBINATION OF HOT
TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY WILL CREATE A DANGEROUS SITUATION
IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE LIKELY. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS...STAY
IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED ENVIRONMENT...STAY OUT OF THE SUN...AND
CHECK UP ON RELATIVES AND NEIGHBORS. MAKE SURE PETS HAVE PLENTY
OF FRESH WATER.

TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS IF YOU WORK OR SPEND TIME OUTSIDE. WHEN
POSSIBLE...RESCHEDULE STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES TO EARLY MORNING OR
EVENING. KNOW THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT
STROKE. WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING WHEN
