.A TIGHT PRESSURE GRADIENT BETWEEN SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE ACROSS
THE SOUTHEAST STATES AND SURFACE LOW PRESSURE OVER THE CENTRAL AND
SOUTHERN PLAINS WILL PRODUCE STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS OF 15 TO 25
MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS TO 30 TO 35 MPH.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SHREVEPORT HAS ISSUED A LAKE WIND
ADVISORY...WHICH WILL BE IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 9
PM CDT THIS EVENING.

* EVENT...STRONG AND GUSTY SOUTHERLY WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH
  HIGHER GUSTS TO 30 TO 35 MPH WILL DEVELOP TODAY AND CONTINUE
  INTO THE EVENING BEFORE TAPERING OFF.

* TIMING...FROM LATE MORNING TO THE MIDDLE OF THE EVENING.

* IMPACT...STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS WILL PRODUCE A ROUGH CHOP ON
  AREA LAKES WHICH MAY BE HAZARDOUS FOR BOATERS...ESPECIALLY IN
  SMALLER CRAFT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A LAKE WIND ADVISORY INDICATES THAT WINDS WILL CAUSE ROUGH CHOP
ON AREA LAKES. SMALL BOATS WILL BE MORE PRONE TO CAPSIZING.
