AND NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS BELOW SIGNIFICANT SNOWPACK DUE TO STRONG
WINDS...LOW HUMIDITY AND AN UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE...

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH THURSDAY FOR THE EASTERN PLAINS AND LOWER
TO MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY DUE TO STRONG WINDS...LOW HUMIDITY AND
AN UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE...

.THE UPPER RIDGE WHICH WILL GIVE A WARMER AND DRIER TREND TODAY
AND TUESDAY WILL BEGIN TO BREAK DOWN ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY AS
A STRONG PACIFIC JET TAKES AIM ON NORTHERN AND CENTRAL NEW MEXICO.
STRONGER SURFACE WINDS WILL DEVELOP ON BOTH DAYS AS DAYTIME
MIXING INCREASES. THURSDAY`S WIND SPEEDS LOOK TO BE QUITE STRONG.
THE ATMOSPHERE WILL ALSO BE DRY AND UNSTABLE WITH ABOVE TO WELL
ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND UNUSUALLY HIGH MIXING HEIGHTS.
SUNSHINE WILL ALSO BE ABUNDANT BOTH AFTERNOON`S...ESPECIALLY ON
THURSDAY WITH A DISTINCT DRY SLOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE COLD FRONT
AND JET.

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Fire
Weather Watch...which is in effect Wednesday afternoon. A Fire
Weather Watch has also been issued from Thursday afternoon
through Thursday evening.

* AREA AND TIMING...EASTERN PLAINS ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...WESTERLY 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH ON
  WEDNESDAY WHILE INCREASING TO 30 TO 40 MPH WITH POTENTIAL GUSTS
  TO 60 MPH ON THURSDAY.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...MINIMUM VALUES BETWEEN 8 TO 13 PERCENT BOTH
  DAYS.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...WESTERLY 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS POSSIBLE TO 35
  MPH.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...MINIMUM VALUES 10 TO 15 PERCENT ALONG AND
  EAST OF INTERSTATE 25.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...WESTERLY 30 TO 35 MPH WITH POTENTIAL GUSTS TO
  50 MPH.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...MINIMUM VALUES BETWEEN 12 TO 16 PERCENT.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.
