DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA
1220 PM EDT SUN MAY 29 2016

For today, a back door cold front will remain draped across the region
causing a dramatic range in afternoon high temperatures, by as much as
30 degrees. It will be cooler in the east and warm to hot in the west.
Where there is the best heating this afternoon will give rise to the
chance for pop up showers and thunderstorms.

For tonight, Memorial Day Monday and Monday night, showers are likely
after midnight tonight, with likely showers and embedded thunderstorms
continuing Monday and Monday night due to tropical moisture from Bonnie
spreading north northeastward from the Carolinas. This tropical plume
of moisture could produce locally heavy rainfall across our region.
Rainfall totals through Tuesday morning are expected to average 0.75 to
1.50 inches.

Dry conditions are expected to follow Tuesday and Wednesday.

Area main stem river levels will show slight rises through Tuesday
morning; however any tropical downpours occurring over a short amount of
time, could cause some smaller streams to rise quickly.

These forecasts include 24 hour precipitation for the period ending
at 7 am today, and forecast precipitation through 7 am tomorrow.
