Daily River And Lake Summary
National Weather Service Columbia Sc
1218 PM EDT Sat Aug 19 2017

...All River Forecast Points remain below Flood Stage...

A weak cold front over the forecast area will drift toward the
coast this afternoon before dissipating. Related to this,
atmospheric moisture will be somewhat lower this afternoon
and again on Sunday. Widely scattered or isolated showers and
thunderstorms will favor eastern and southern counties.

High pressure moving off the Mid-Atlantic coast on Monday will
allow a low-level onshore flow to spread further inland,
and this will support a better chance for late afternoon showers.

At this time, rainfall during the period is not expected to be
significant enough to produce any main stem river flooding.
Therefore, generally minor river fluctuations are expected across
area river basins through Monday, and will be governed mainly by
water releases due to power generation from upstream reservoirs.
