...A statement concerning The Root River at Houston...Turkey River at
Spillville...Elkader...Upper Iowa River at Dorchester Hwy 76...

Rainfall and snow melt have resulted in significant rises on area
rivers, streams and creeks. However, no flooding is expected at this
time.

Root River at Houston...The stage this evening was  7.12 feet. Flood
stage is 15.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 11.40 feet
Thursday morning, which is below flood stage.

Turkey River at Spillville...The stage this evening was  5.53 feet.
Flood stage is 9.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach  7.10 feet
Tuesday, which is below flood stage.

Turkey River at Elkader...The stage this evening was  8.81 feet.
Flood stage is 12.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 10.40 feet
Wednesday evening, which is below flood stage.

Upper Iowa River at Dorchester Hwy 76...The stage this evening was
9.51 feet. Flood stage is 14.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach
11.80 feet Wednesday evening, which is below flood stage.
