...River Statement For The Cahaba River...



Rises continue at the Cahaba River at Marion Juction due to runoff
dating back to last week.  However...levels are expected to
remain below established flood stages...and any overflow along the
river should be of a minor nature.

The Cahaba River At Marion Junction.
 Latest stage:     25.9 feet at 11 AM Thursday.
 Caution stage:    15 feet.
 Flood stage:      36 feet.
 Forecast:         Continue to fall below Action Stage by Saturday
                   Morning.

* Impact...At 15 feet...Flooding around Oakmulgee Creek begins and
  cattle need to be moved to higher ground. Overflow of pasture lands
  increases at stages above 20 feet.

statements concerning this event.

Another statement will be issued Friday morning...or sooner if
conditions warrant.
