WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHICAGO/ROMEOVILLE IL
647 AM CDT THU JUL 31 2014 /747 AM EDT THU JUL 31 2014/

SKIES ARE CLEAR TO PARTLY CLOUDY TO START THURSDAY...WITH MORNING
LOW TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM THE LOWER TO UPPER 50S...EXCEPT
LOWER AND MID 60S IN CHICAGO. THIS AFTERNOON...SOME ISOLATED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY IN THE LATE
AFTERNOON. AFTERNOON HIGHS WILL BE IN THE LOWER 80S UNDER PARTLY
SUNNY SKIES. TONIGHT...THERE IS JUST A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR A FEW
SHOWERS...WITH LOWS IN THE UPPER 50S AND LOWER 60S...EXCEPT MID
60S IN AND NEAR DOWNTOWN CHICAGO.

ON FRIDAY...A STRONGER UPPER DISTURBANCE MOVING OVER THE AREA AND A
LAKE BREEZE PUSHING INLAND COULD PROVIDE A FOCUS FOR A BIT MORE
WIDESPREAD SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE AND THE POTENTIAL FOR
A FEW STRONGER STORMS. HIGHS WILL BE PRIMARILY IN THE UPPER 70S
AND LOWER 80S...THOUGH SOME SPOTS NEAR THE LAKE WILL LIKELY BE A
FEW DEGREES COOLER DUE TO THE LAKE BREEZE. SATURDAY WILL OFFER
ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY FOR A CHANCE OF SCATTERED AFTERNOON SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS. TEMPERATURES WILL BE SIMILAR TO FRIDAY. SUNDAY
WILL BE DRY ACROSS THE AREA...WITH HIGHS IN THE LOWER 80S INLAND
AND MID AND UPPER 70S NEAR THE LAKE.
