EMPORIA...GREENSVILLE...SOUTHAMPTON AND SUSSEX COUNTIES THROUGH 430
PM EDT...

AT 345 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SHOWERS AND
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN ALONG A LINE EXTENDING
FROM CAPRON TO GASTON...OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 7 MILES WEST
OF COURTLAND TO ROANOKE RAPIDS. THESE SHOWERS AND STORMS WERE NEARLY
STATIONARY.

AREAS IMPACTED BY THESE SHOWERS AND STORMS INCLUDE
  DAHLIA...
  BRYANTS CORNER...
  CLARESVILLE...

HAZARDS INCLUDE...
HEAVY RAINFALL AND MINOR FLOODING.

THESE SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL...WHICH WILL
CAUSE MINOR FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS INCLUDING
DITCHES...CREEKS...ROADWAYS AND AREAS OF POOR DRAINAGE. AVOID THESE
AREAS AND DO NOT CROSS FLOODED ROADS. MOTORISTS SHOULD ALSO REDUCE
DRIVING SPEEDS TO AVOID HYDROPLANING.
