...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

At 410 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles southeast of Blackrock, or 19 miles south of Olancha. This
storm was nearly stationary.

Half inch hail will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Blackrock...Beach Meadows...
and parts of the Pacific Crest Trail just south of Sequoia National
Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
