...Areas of fog expected late tonight and early Saturday morning...

Regional surface observations suggest that areas of fog continue to
develop across most of northern Alabama and southern Tennessee this
evening. Although visibilities are currently in the 4 to 6 mile
range, a few locations are already reporting locally dense fog with
visibilities as low as one quarter of a mile. Communities in the
higher terrain of northeast Alabama and southern Tennessee will be
more likely to experience dense fog and significant visibility
reductions late this evening. Trends will be monitored closely and a
dense fog advisory may be required later tonight or early Saturday
morning. All motorists traveling through the region should use
extreme caution if fog is encountered on the roadway.
