...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT MAINLAND DARE...NORTHWESTERN
OUTER BANKS DARE AND EAST CENTRAL TYRRELL COUNTIES...

At 529 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near the Alligator
River , moving northeast at 25 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Kill Devil Hills,  Manns Harbor, Nags Head, Mashoes, Manteo, Jockeys
Ridge State Park, Roanoke Island Festival Park, Wright Brothers
National Monument, Nags Head Fishing Pier, Avalon Pier, Wanchese and
Outer Banks Fishing Pier.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
