...TROPICAL STORM SOUDELOR WILL AFFECT THE MARIANAS THIS WEEKEND...

AT 830 AM FRIDAY MORNING TROPICAL STORM SOUDELOR WAS ABOUT 890 MILES
EAST OF GUAM AND 490 MILES NORTH OF POHNPEI. IT WAS CENTERED NEAR 14
DEGREES NORTH LATITUDE AND 158 DEGREES EAST LONGITUDE...AND MOVING
WEST-NORTHWEST AT 6 MPH.

COMPUTER MODELS INDICATE THAT SOUDELOR COULD BECOME A TYPHOON AS
EARLY AS SATURDAY AFTERNOON. SOUDELOR IS EXPECTED TO MOVE TOWARD THE
NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS AND APPROACH THE ALAMAGAN AREA LATE SUNDAY.
