...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN LAWRENCE...
SOUTHWESTERN MASON...CABELL...SOUTHERN PUTNAM...WESTERN KANAWHA AND
NORTHEASTERN LINCOLN COUNTIES THROUGH 400 AM EDT...

At 324 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Chesapeake, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Huntington, Nitro, Winfield, Chesapeake, Proctorville, St. Albans,
Hurricane, Barboursville, Milton, Eleanor, Poca, Ona, Culloden,
Tornado, Teays Valley, Alum Creek, Bancroft, Crown City, Athalia, and
Scottown.

This includes Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 14
and 45.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM EDT for southeastern
Ohio...and central and western West Virginia.
