BEACHES...


.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

Southerly winds of 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts will result in
a high risk of rip currents along the Walton and Bay County
beaches with a moderate risk of rip currents elsewhere. A few
showers are possible today under mostly cloudy skies.


Water Temperature:
64 degrees at Panama City Beach.
69 degrees at the FSU Coastal and Marine Lab near Apalachicola.

near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current remain calm. Don`t fight
the current. Swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable
to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help. If tired, float
or tread water until out of the rip current. Always heed the advice
of the local beach patrol and consult the local beach flag system. If
in doubt, don`t go out.
