...NOAA Weather Radio Station at Ames Hill Vermont to Suspend
Service...

CORRECTED FOR STATION CALL SIGN FROM WMX 69 TO WXM 68.

NOAA Weather Radio station WXM 68, Ames Hill, Vermont,
broadcasting at 162.425 MHz, will suspend service on June 30,
2016.

Entergy, the operator of WXM 68, will end service on June 30.

The National Weather Service will assume service at Ames Hill.

However, there will be an interruption in service while logistical
and administrative details are worked out.

The National Weather Service will make every effort to get service
restored as quickly as possible. As for how long service will be
out, that is difficult to say now. The National Weather Service is
hopeful it will be on the order of weeks.

The National Weather Service will provide frequent updates on the
status of WXM 68. The next update will be issued on or before
July 6, 2016.
