THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA
PANHANDLES.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

PERIODS OF LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE FREEZING RAIN ARE EXPECTED
ACROSS MUCH OF THE OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS PANHANDLES. SOUTHERN AND
WESTERN SECTIONS MAY WARM JUST ABOVE FREEZING FOR A PERIOD THIS
AFTERNOON ALLOWING FOR JUST RAIN AT TIMES. A WINTER STORM STORM
WARNING IS NOW EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM MONDAY FOR THE CENTRAL AND EASTERN
OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE AS WELL AS THE NORTHEAST TEXAS PANHANDLE...WHERE
TOTAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE QUARTER TO ONE INCH STORM TOTAL ICE
ARE ANTICIPATED. IN ADDITION...A FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT
UNTIL 6 PM FOR THE SOUTHEAST TEXAS PANHANDLE AND THE REMAINDER OF THE
PANHANDLES ARE INCLUDED IN A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY AS SLEET AND
SNOW WILL ALSO DEVELOP ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE AREA OVERNIGHT. TOTAL
ICE ACCUMULATIONS SHOULD REMAIN GENERALLY LESS THAN ONE QUARTER OF AN
INCH IN THE ADVISORY AREAS.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED AT TIMES TODAY AS WELL. ANY STORMS THAT
DEVELOP SHOULD REMAIN BELOW SEVERE LEVELS AT THIS TIME. HOWEVER...HEAVY
RAIN MAY ACCOMPANY THE STRONGEST STORMS...WHICH MAY LEAD TO LOCALIZED
FLOODING AND SMALL HAIL MAY ALSO OCCUR.

LIGHT SLEET AND LIGHT SNOW ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP TONIGHT ACROSS
MUCH OF THE OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS PANHANDLES. TOTAL SNOWFALL
ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 4 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG AND NORTHWEST
OF HIGHWAY 60...WITH THE HIGHEST TOTALS IN THE FAR NORTHWEST SECTIONS
OF THE AREA. SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS SHOULD REMAIN LESS THAN ONE INCH
IN THE SOUTHEAST THIRD OF THE TEXAS PANHANDLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

LIGHT SNOW MAY CONTINUE INTO MONDAY MORNING ACROSS THE OKLAHOMA
PANHANDLE AND PARTS OF THE NORTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE. LITTLE TO NO
ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED.

SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT ANTICIPATED AT THIS TIME. HOWEVER...PLEASE
RELAY REPORTS OF SIGNIFICANT SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS IN YOUR AREA
TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IN AMARILLO.
