* Tornado Warning for...
  Toombs County in southeastern Georgia...
  Southeastern Wheeler County in central Georgia...
  Montgomery County in central Georgia...

* Until 230 PM EDT.

* At 143 PM EDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Alston, or near
  Mount Vernon, moving east at 55 mph.

  HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

  SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree
           damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Lyons, Mount Vernon, Vidalia, Uvalda, Ailey, Higgston, Santa Claus,
  Alston, Center, Toombs Central, Ohoopee, New Branch, McNatt Falls,
  South Thompson, English Eddy, Grays Landing, Rock Springs, Cedar
  Crossing, Johnson Corner, and Charlotteville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This Tornado Warning replaces the Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued
for the same area.

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
