Southeastern Tangipahoa Parish in southeastern Louisiana... * Until 830 PM CDT. * At 801 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing both tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage were located 11 miles south of Ponchatoula, or 13 miles north of Laplace, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern St. John The Baptist and southeastern Tangipahoa Parishes, including the following locations...
