...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN SCHENECTADY...
NORTHERN SCHOHARIE AND SOUTH CENTRAL MONTGOMERY COUNTIES THROUGH 400
PM EDT...

At 317 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Worcester, or 9 miles southeast of Cooperstown, moving northeast at
25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Cobleskill, Middleburgh, Summit, Schoharie, Richmondville, Sharon
Springs, Delanson, Central Bridge, Glen, Carlisle, Sharon, Seward,
Charleston, Esperance, Zeh Corners, Beekman Corners, West
Richmondville, Rockwell Corners, Warnerville, and Flat Creek.

This includes Interstate 88 between exits 20 and 23.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
