...HEAVY RAINFALL EXPECTED TONIGHT INTO MIDDAY FRIDAY...

RAIN WILL OVERSPREAD NORTHERN MICHIGAN THIS EVENING AND CONTINUE
THROUGH MIDDAY FRIDAY...BEFORE ENDING FRIDAY AFTERNOON. HEAVY
RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE ACROSS PARTS OF NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN WHERE
WIDESPREAD AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE LIKELY. THE HEAVIEST RAINS
WILL OCCUR FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT THROUGH ABOUT 10 AM FRIDAY...WITH
THUNDERSTORMS ALSO POSSIBLE SOUTH OF M-72.

BASED ON EXPECTED RAIN TOTALS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES...WIDESPREAD
SIGNIFICANT FLOODING IS NOT ANTICIPATED AT THIS TIME. HOWEVER...
WATER LEVEL RISES ON AREA STREAMS AND RIVERS WILL OCCUR WITH MINOR
LOCALIZED FLOODING POSSIBLE. ANY ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OVER FORECAST
AMOUNTS MAY INCREASE THE THREAT FOR FLOODING SIGNIFICANTLY.

THOSE LIVING NEAR WATERWAYS SHOULD PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE
EVOLUTION OF RAIN TONIGHT...AND STAY ABREAST OF THE LATEST WEATHER
INFORMATION. CURRENT FORECASTS ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE
AT WEATHER.GOV/GAYLORD.
