...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in
Michigan...

  Rifle River near Sterling AFFECTING Arenac County

.Overnight and morning rainfall is expected to push the Rifle
River near Sterling to above flood stage on Friday and remain
above flood into the weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

latest information concerning this flooding situation.


The National Weather Service in Gaylord will issue another statement
on this developing situation as new information becomes available.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Rifle River near Sterling.
* from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening.
* At 12:30 PM Thursday the stage was 3.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow afternoon and
  continue to rise to near 6.7 feet by early Saturday morning.the
  river will fall below flood stage by Saturday afternoon.
* Impact...At 6.0 feet...High water begins to impact canoe livery at
  River View Campground.
