...THE FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR THE FOLLOWING RIVERS IN
MICHIGAN...

  RIFLE RIVER NEAR STERLING AFFECTING ARENAC COUNTY
  MANISTEE RIVER NEAR SHERMAN AFFECTING WEXFORD COUNTY

.RECENT RAINFALL AND SNOWMELT HAS RESULTED IN SIGNIFICANT RISES IN
THE MANISTEE AND RIFLE RIVER BASINS...AT SHERMAN AND STERLING.
RIVER LEVELS HERE ARE ALREADY ABOVE FLOOD STAGE AND WILL CONTINUE
RISING THROUGH TONIGHT...DESPITE RAINFALL TAPERING OFF THIS MORNING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

  THE MANISTEE RIVER NEAR SHERMAN.
* UNTIL LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
* AT  3:30 AM MONDAY THE STAGE WAS 15.9 FEET.
* MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND RECORD FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 15.0 FEET.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE RISING TO NEAR 17.2 FEET BY THIS
  EVENING. THE RIVER WILL FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE WEDNESDAY EVENING.
* IMPACT...AT 16.0 FEET...FLOODING OF PROPERTY AND HOMES ADJACENT TO
  RIGHT BANK OF RIVER ALONG OJIBWAY DRIVE, OTTAWA DRIVE, AND CHIPPEWA
  DRIVE SOUTH OF WEST 12 ROAD.

* MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND MODERATE FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 6.0 FEET.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE RISING TO NEAR 12.0 FEET BY
  AFTER MIDNIGHT TOMORROW. THE RIVER WILL FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE LATE
  THURSDAY MORNING.
* IMPACT...AT 11.0 FEET...HIGH WATER IMPACTS PROPERTY SOUTH OF
  TOWNLINE ROAD DOWNSTREAM OF MELITA ROAD BRIDGE.
