THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN...
EASTERN UPPER MICHIGAN...AND ADJACENT NEARSHORE WATERS OF LAKE
MICHIGAN...LAKE HURON AND LAKE SUPERIOR.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

A WEATHER SYSTEM ARRIVES LATE TONIGHT ACROSS NORTHERN LOWER
MICHIGAN...LEADING TO A WINTRY MIX OF SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING
RAIN. THE GREATEST IMPACT WILL BE THE POTENTIAL FOR FREEZING RAIN
AND ICING ON ROADS AFTER MIDNIGHT...AND PRIMARILY OVER AREAS
ALONG AND SOUTHWEST OF A LINE FROM GRAND TRAVERSE BAY TO HOUGHTON
LAKE AND STANDISH. TRAVEL WILL BECOME SLIPPERY AND HAZARDOUS IN
THESE AREAS PRIOR TO DAYBREAK.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

THE BAND OF FREEZING RAIN WILL LIFT NORTH THROUGH NORTHERN
LOWER MICHIGAN WEDNESDAY MORNING...BUT WILL TRANSITION INTO MORE
OF A LIGHT RAIN AND DRIZZLE SCENARIO AS TEMPERATURES RISE. SOME
FREEZING RAIN MAY BRIEFLY SNEAK INTO EASTERN UPPER MICHIGAN.
TRAVEL WILL CONTINUE TO BE SLIPPERY AND HAZARDOUS WEDNESDAY
MORNING FOR MANY AREAS.
