...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON MDT
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 12
  and 20 inches expected, with locally greater amounts over the
  highest peaks.

* WHERE...In Montana, Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains, Crazy Mountains,
  and Pryor/Northern Bighorn Mountains. In Wyoming, Northeast
  Bighorn Mountains.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to noon MDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Recreation in the high country will be impacted by heavy
  accumulating snow. Travel will be very difficult to impossible.
  Widespread blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow is expected to increase this evening and
  continue into Thursday morning...mainly on north and northwest
  facing slopes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. For the latest road
conditions, call 5 1 1.
