The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Lancaster County in central South Carolina...
  Chesterfield County in central South Carolina...
  Northeastern Kershaw County in central South Carolina...

* Until 430 PM EDT.

* At 332 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 8 miles southeast of Pageland to near Mt Pisgah,
  moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to trees and powerlines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Carolina Sandhills Wildlife Refuge, Cheraw State Park, Mt Pisgah,
  Mcbee, Jefferson, Patrick, Bethune, Kershaw Correctional
  Institution, Cheraw Fish Hatchery, Alligator Fire Station,
  Middendorf, and Bay Springs Fire Station.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Persons in campgrounds should seek shelter until these storms pass.
