The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Atchison County in northwestern Missouri...
  Northeastern Holt County in northwestern Missouri...
  Southern Nodaway County in northwestern Missouri...

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 552 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Craig, or 8
  miles north of Mound City, moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Two inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Emergency management. Golf ball size hail was reported on
           Interstate 29 at mile marker 99 when this storm passed.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Maryville, Fairfax, Maitland, Skidmore, Craig, Barnard, Graham,
  Guilford, Arkoe, Quitman, and Corning.

This includes Interstate 29 between mile markers 88 and 105.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for northwestern
Missouri.
