...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM CDT THURSDAY
FOR SOUTHWESTERN FREESTONE AND NORTHEASTERN LIMESTONE COUNTIES...

At 1134 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a short break from the heavy
rainfall is expected across the warned area. This may allow for some
flood waters to recede or improve, however, additional bands of
moderate to heavy rain are expected to continue through the night,
which will result in additional flooding or worsen the ongoing
flooding. The flash flood threat continues at this time.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Mexia, Groesbeck, Teague, Fairfield, Wortham, Lake Limestone, Fort
  Parker State Park, Lake Mexia, Tehuacana, Kirvin, Fallon, Cotton
  Gin, Freestone, Shiloh, Farrar, Donie, Box Church, Dew and Lanely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dangerous flash flooding is occurring or is imminent. Do not attempt
to travel unless you are fleeing flood waters. If you are in an area
subject to flooding, move to higher ground now.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is
harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
