...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EDT THIS
AFTERNOON FOR NORTHERN CARROLL, SOUTHERN COOS AND NORTHERN GRAFTON
COUNTIES...

At 1007 AM EDT, Rain, high winds, and temperatures into the 50s
around the White Mountains is supporting rapid snowmelt. This will
cause steep mountain streams to rise quickly and flood area roads.


HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by rain and snowmelt.

SOURCE...Gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Conway, Berlin, Littleton, Lancaster, Fryeburg, Bethlehem,
  Lincoln, Haverhill, Franconia and Errol.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous due to flooding. Do not attempt to cross
flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
